and if you do, do you define yourself in the positive or in the negative?
(according to what you are or what you are not?)
[I am(among other things): a listener, a coffee.er, a reader, a thinker, a laugher, a writer, an exercise.er, a red.winer, a hand.holder, a traveller, a baker. I am not: a conflict.er, a map.reader, a technology.er, a public.speaking.er, an iron.er]
But even as I write my list, I feel constrained by it.
I feel an Attack of the Yeh.Buts.
Yeh.But: sometimes I am the things I'm not and I'm not the things I am (sometimes my sense of direction is super!)
I prefer to avoid such stark definitions of self, to have fewer expectations, to adopt a more fluid approach.
(but sometimes I forget).
